Who is Lady Lawan D. Ferguson?
Lady Lawan D. Ferguson is an author, co-author, speaker, writer, Minister/Preacher, and a powerful and positive Change Agent / Servant Leader. She has been called to encourage, empower, and nurture women while serving their need to grow professionally and personally. She loves supporting all who endeavor to make positive change, where change is needed, and in particular, she loves supporting the small disadvantaged minority women owned business. She is a positive motivating force that influence others to seek out and find their God given gifts and talents. She’s a wife, a mother, a sister, and a friend who loves fostering ideas to good change.
Please tell us what being a business owner means to you and why you became an entrepreneur in the first place?
Being a business owner / entrepreneur is important and means a great deal in my pursuit to obtaining unlimited wealth and financial freedom. It affords me an opportunity to be fully engaged in the vision and mission and gives me full authority to build and manage every aspect of the business. It allows an opportunity to stay current with industry practices and standards, as it seems to change overnight. As a business owner you get to move business decisions into action, taking full responsibility for the decisions made and embracing failure, as it too is a part of the business process. Being a business owner means that I get to share and give back a wealth of valuable information and knowledge, that will motivate others to becoming business owners and to ultimately building a legacy for generations to come.
I became a business owner to:
a. Create employment opportunities
b. Build an empire that will return unlimited wealth and financial freedom. This takes years and time. This is not a get rich quick thing, you have to put in the work.
c. Foster great business relationships with other amazing entrepreneurs, through networking, collaboration and serving.
d. Build an empire and legacy for generations to come.

Sisters Aiding IN Transforming Sisters (S.A.IN.T.S.) is a Women’s Ministry, focused on supporting, cultivating, redesigning, transforming, encouraging, motivating, uplifting, and empowering women in their spiritual, physical, and personal lives. We offer workshops, counseling, tutoring, retreats, fellowship, networking, and business opportunities in many areas. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good. We are here to aid in the transformation of our sisters and to give them the push needed to move to the next level in becoming their absolute best. Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers and visionaries, who are equipped to bring a different perspective and are willing to take risks when assisting to greatness. S.A.IN.T.S. emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2012, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. Our mission is to develop women to reaching and understanding who they are in their personal and professional lives, that they may become productive and profitable leaders and business owners.

My latest release “Overcoming Adversity, Pushing Past the Pain” is an inspirationally stimulating collection of nine powerful testimonies that are sure to encourage others when faced with difficult and trying times and to be relentless in rising above all circumstances. About Lady Lawan D. Ferguson
Lady Lawan D. Ferguson is a native of Washington DC. She is a Licensed Minister an Ordained Deaconess and Trustee at Christ Creative Baptist Church (CCBC), Temple Hills, MD. She founded and gave leadership to the CCBC Women’s Ministry, Sisters Aiding IN Transforming Sisters (S.A.IN.T.S.), which focuses on and aids in cultivating, redesigning, transforming, encouraging, motivating, uplifting and empowering women in their individual and spiritual lives. She is a Certified Life Coach, Best-Selling Author and Co-Author of several books, to include her most recent release, “Overcoming Adversity, Pushing Past The Pain.” Lady Ferguson has an earned Associates of Applied Science (A.A.S) Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Religion, a Master’s of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Acquisitions, a Master’s Certificate (MC) in Government Contracts and has served over 30 years in the Federal Government.
Lady Ferguson was honored to be chosen as the DMV’s 2019, ACHI Magazine Awardee for “Servant Leader” of the year. She has graced the covers of the MizCEO Entrepreneurial and Influence Magazines, as well as the Glambitious, HER VISION Magazine. Lady Ferguson is married to the Rev. Dr. George St. Anthony Ferguson Sr., Sr. Pastor, and Founder of CCBC. She knows that the Lord placed her husband in her life as a companion, confidant, and co-laborer in love, life, and ministry. She is also convinced that through this relationship she is discovering the true meaning to unconditional love as the Lord leads, guides and reveals. Outside of accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, she feels that her husband, her mother, and her family are her greatest blessings!
