God Versus Good
FAITH AND INSPIRATION CORNER
By Nancy Joy Dozier, Speaker/Author/Personal Pastor
A smile can express amusement or excitement. It is scientifically proven to lighten the mood, boosts the immune system and is contagious. More often than not, a smile is evoked by a certain feeling, smell, sound or sight.
Leaning heavily on our senses to discern goodness comes naturally. But at this current juncture where uncertainty has become the new normal, many have lost their smiles. Our senses are overcome with sights, sounds and feelings that quite honestly are heartbreaking.
But faith says, I may not be able to smile at my present condition, but I choose to smile at my future. I smile at the breakthrough that’s coming my way. I smile because I am well rooted and grounded, unafraid of whatever may come. I smile with excitement and in expectation that my future awaits my arrival. My presence will dignify rooms that I am about entering into.
Faith smiles before the doors open, before the opportunities, and while you’re still standing in your present. Allow the strength, the grit, the endurance and perseverance of your present to become a seed, the harvest for which you can smile at today. Do yourself and somebody else some good and smile.
