Today's executive woman is under tremendous stress juggling all the demands on her time. The pandemic illuminated burnout, exacerbating the impact of mental fatigue caused by the struggle to “fit in” workplace cultures that simply are not  a fit. Not because she is a misfit, but the environments miss the "fitness" for the leader she truly is. Her struggle to “fit” increases anxieties experienced juggling all that she does striving to be the best - executive, entrepreneur, mom, wife, caretaker, grandmother, soccer mom, dance mom, etc... The list goes on.

Gallup studies show that over 60 percent of executives struggle with burnout or “cognitive overload” and women represent a high percentage of the “great resignation.”

What a shame if workplaces lose the leadership value of executive women.

But will issues of burnout dissipate?

Certainly, workplace culture contributes, but other factors play a role:

•    blurred lines between home and work

•    discomfort saying no

•    reluctance to establish clear boundaries

•    lack of priority of self-care

So many women are simply unaware of the signs.

 •    Are you a priority in your own life?

•    Do you know what you really want and why?

•    Are you intentional about pursuing the life you truly desire?

Spend some time and reflect on these questions. You may be surprised by your results.  It’s time, for you.
