Are you really communicating effectively?
Love & Relationships

This isn’t a trick question at all, however in some relationships we can trick ourselves into believing that we have communicated effectively. Often, we believe this because we have verbally expressed our feelings, our desires and so on. As a Certified Christian Counselor, I believe bridging the gap to communicate effectively requires those in relationships to also communicate with actions. This could be very simple as showing gratitude with a gift or giving a helping hand (that subconsciously says “You don’t have to do this alone”). I will not say to substitute words with actions, but I will say to use them both. Now, ask yourself again are you really communicating effectively? Communicating isn’t just talking. Don’t let a relationship be hindered, fail or die because you feel you only have spoken all you had to say. Take the time to implement somethings that cannot necessarily be said.
