Inspiring Faith
Faith & Inspiration
By: Nancy Joy Dozier
The challenge for many faith-based leaders is finding ways to inspire faith in others. Of course genuine faith is not something that can be legislated, it must be willingly embraced. The degree of trauma and all around sadness that many around us are dealing with is further enhanced because they have lost hope, and may have never had it to begin with. Without faith many are drowning, while those of us that understand God’s plan to prosper us, give us hope and a future remain silent.
Here are 3 Ways that you can inspire faith in others:
*Be Open About Your Struggles
There’s so much power in transparency and truth. From the outside looking in people may assume that your life is perfect. They may see you soaring in your career or in a certain area of life and conclude that your world is perfect. Within the proper environment and at the right time, share your struggle and how faith is your anchor.
*Be A Joy Ambassador
Happiness is contingent on the weather, on what the bank account is looking like and even on how other people relate to us. But joy is choosing to focus on God’s promises. It’s the ability to be grateful for the enumerable blessings that surround us. Joy is the choice to align our perspective with God’s and always remember that He is always working on our behalf. When we carry joy into every room, and every conversation it won’t be long before it begins to rub off on others and begins to inspire them to faith.
*Be Prepared To Encourage
Discouragement is a leading cause for depressions, sadness and even for people giving up on their dreams. So many feel invisible, dispensable and unworthy. It’s critical that people of Faith, are prepared to be conduits of encouragement. We must be the voice that reminds those around us that they are necessary, that they matter to God and to us. We must be hope dealers whose encouragement inspires faith in others.
