Faith & Inspiration
By: Pastor Nancy Joy Dozier
From as far back as biblical times, and throughout early civilizations, There has always been an honor, a privilege and an intimacy assigned to being seated at a table. Being invited to a table denotes exclusive access to people and to information. It implies the breaking of bread over the exchange of ideas and opportunities.
Recently, I decided to arrange my dining room for the holidays. And as I layed out the china, and thought about who would sit at each seat, I was moved to pray this simple prayer.

What gripped my heart was the idea of the βprepared tableβ. This is the place where God customizes your blessings. He takes special care ensuring that details are perfect, and special delights and surprises are planned with you in mind. There is so much power in taking your seat at the prepared table. Choose to rest knowing that there is a place prepared with you in mind. Your portion can never be taken away. There is a seat for you at the table.
