The COVID-19 pandemic is changing education, guaranteeing a transformation in the new school year and beyond. Americans across the nation expect schools to reopen in the fall, but teachers have mixed feelings.
“I’d like to be back on campus,” said Joseph Richie, an Associate Professor at Tennessee State University. “But, first, my expectation would be that the administration provides an organized plan for dealing with the virus.”
School will look a lot different with scheduled days home, more online learning, and a lot of handwashing. The uncertainty will require everyone to adapt to new expectations and environments, including wearing masks and social distancing.
